Atelier Aliki – Pottery with passion and character
In my studio, located in the old mill farmhouse, I give shape to my passion for pottery. Here I work on unique, handmade creations, inspired by nature and the fantastic surroundings. Whether you are a beginner or already experienced, I am happy to guide you in discovering and refining your talents.
Initiation wheel throwing (2.5-hour class – €50 pp)
When? Every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 2pm to 4.30pm. Sign up through the contact form. On request and if possible, deviation from the standard workshop days is possible.
What to expect. I will teach you how to use the pottery wheel and help you master the basic skills.
The workshop lasts 2.5 hours + clean-up.
- You learn how to feel and knead the clay
- You learn how to centre the clay on the potter’s wheel
- Then you get the basic kneading skills for what you want to make (cup, plate, bowl,…)
- You make whatever you want (max 4 pieces – 2 kg)
- After that: cleaning up the potter’s wheel and the materials
Use of clay, materials included.
Excluding: firing and glazing costs (5€/kilo bisque firing and 10€/kilo glaze firing).
You should bring an apron and towel from home or put on clothes that are allowed to get dirty, short nails are useful but not compulsory.
Finishing the works is done by myself as well as glazing. If you follow several workshops, you can of course finish and glaze the works yourself under supervision.
Looking forward to welcoming you to Atelier Aliki, where creativity and relaxation come together.
